DIY ARCH BOOKWALL + MY USBORNE STORY

I am so excited to finally share this tutorial with y’all that Blake and I made a few weeks ago!!!

As you may or may not know, we just moved AGAIN with the Army. Each move we make, it’s imperative for me to get our family settled and to make it feel like home. One way we do this is by putting books everywhere, because that just makes the house feel moved in and less like a temporary place.

However, not knowing how long we’ll be here, I was a little skeptical on hanging up a second set of bookshelves into the walls. We already have one book nook in the girls’ room which you can see here. And now while we are very good at filling holes and ensuring the house looks just the way it did when we got it, it’s still added work that we don’t necessarily want to take on.

ENTER : A MOVABLE BOOK NOOK!!! I am SO SO SO excited that we’ve created a piece of furniture (functional furniture at that) that we can take to another home!!!

***I want to preface all of this with saying that I wanted this to be a leaning book wall that we didn’t need to anchor into the wall. Please do this at your own discretion as you know your children and your home more. Since we were putting this on carpet, it made it MUCH sturdier. Additionally, we built in extra space on the bottom so we could store heavy book baskets below to also add strength to the bottom.***

Above you can find the graphic for the how to + supplies list!! Please feel free to screenshot this, download it to your phone or computer, or print it! Email hello@theeverco.co or use our website contact for should you have any questions. I will also be answering questions on Instagram about it too!

Aside from wanting a piece that we could move with, the other most important reason we made this was to keep our new Usborne books separate from our old books.

BECAUSE I AM SO EXCITED TO SHARE THAT I AM FINALLY SELLING USBORNE BOOKS!!!

I have been going back and forth on this for literal YEARS, and this year the timing felt right.

I have such a HUGE passion for literacy, especially in children.

With dyslexia and autism in our family, as well as childhood developmental delays, reading has not always come easy. It is so important for me to fill the walls of our homes with so many books so they are always at my kids’ fingertips to explore and read.

The reason I decided to finally start selling USBORNE is simple :

I BELIEVE IN THEIR PRODUCTS.

I have always shopped their books from my friends’ links and I’ve always been infatuated with their content because their books have so much depth to them. They are so so so educational and filled from cover to back with loads of information, projects, thoughts, tools, and more!

I put so much time into sharing these books and curating them for our home and for our kids, that I wanted to start selling them in my own storefront to be compensated for the time and energy I pour in.

SO MORE THAN ANYTHING, THANK YOU for shopping my books here so that I can continue doing what I love and continue sharing the books I love with you!!!
